Established in 1991, The Beautiful Skin Centre’s goal was to provide Hong Kong consumers with the finest quality skin and body care. From the calibre of therapists to the fundamental belief that we are what we eat, think, breathe and feel, a new philosophy in achieving skin wellness and stress relief was born.

Growing hand in hand with Elemis (a name synonymous worldwide with the finest quality plant extracts and aromatherapy-based products), The Elemis Day Spa in Central was opened in December 2000. Covering an area of 4,000 sq ft EDS Central has already become the leading spa in Hong Kong. Today Elemis is the main skincare range used in all Centres.

The Beautiful Skin Centre is the first skincare company in Hong Kong to obtain work permits for European therapists and now boasts a dynamic multi-cultural team from UK, Sweden, France, Australia, and Asia. Committed to maintaining professional standards, all new therapists undergo extensive training in all aspects of therapy from product knowledge and hands-on treatment to customer care, team building and leadership skills.

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE - INTERNATIONAL HEALTH AND BEAUTY INSTITUTE (IHBI)
It is The Beautiful Skin Centre's belief, that education and knowledge are the foundations of success for both companies and individuals. In line with this, the International Health and Beauty Institute (IHBI) opened in Hong Kong in March 2001. It also firmly establishes the commitment of the BSC to professional training and standards.

The aim of the Institute is to upgrade the standard of beauty therapy in Hong Kong and Asia by offering internationally recognized qualifications and ongoing training to those choosing the health and beauty industry as a career. The company sees this as an investment in its own future and in the industry as a whole.

The health and beauty industry will expand hugely in the coming decade as people re-evaluate their own needs for wellbeing. Consequently, qualified therapists with the right knowledge and the perfect touch will be in demand. The Institute will also offer integrated programs in wellness, health and complementary therapies.
